‘Reefs Go Live’ Is Back For 2023

2023 will see the return of “Reefs Go Live” from the reefs of Little Cayman in the Caribbean.

The program is the work of the Central Caribbean Marine Institute and is an interactive training education program using Virtual Live Experiences (VLEs). The program allows members of the public and students to learn about reefs and the activity on coral reefs in a real-time setting.

Doing the program virtually allows the CCMI to bring reefs and the life on reefs to large numbers of the public and students who otherwise would have no opportunity to learn about and explore coral reefs. The streams deliver live lessons from underwater and lab environments using full face masks and communication equipment.

There are four episodes scheduled for broadcast in the 2023 “Reefs GO Live” series: March 31, April 14, May 11, and June 8, 2023.
