Rolling Stone magazine has named Stream2Sea as the “Best Eco-Friendly, Reef Safe” sunscreen in the world.
This is the second year in a row that the magazine has awarded Stream2Sea the accolade. The award comes off the back of a study by the Haereticus Environmental Laboratory, which the magazine quoted the laboratory executive director Craig Downs as saying:
“Sunscreen pollution is a real phenomenon and it poses a threat to coral reefs and aquatic life. It’s also a major factor in decreased water quality.”
Commenting on the award, Stream2Sea President Autumn Blum said:
“To be honored by a publication as prestigious as Rolling Stone magazine, not just one but twice, is truly humbling. We appreciate their support and recognition for the efforts of the entire Stream2Sea team.”
