A group of scuba divers turned detectives have resolved seven missing person cold cases in just two months.
The group of divers, called “Chaos Divers,” are based in South Illinois and have successfully solved cases that have lain dormant for decades. The group is made up of Jacob Grubbs, Eric Bussick and Lindsey Bussick.
The group use equipment capable of detecting a car or the wreckage of a car underwater. Many families and loved ones approach the group, who then decide based on the logistics and whether their equipment would be able to help.
Lindsey Bussick commented to the Sun newspaper:
“We get as many details as we can . . . from where they were last seen, where they were going, and the location of the last ping of their cellphone. We then map out their last known movements and identify any waterways they may have passed through before disappearing.”
The team has solved cases in Illinois, Kentucky, Oregon and Texas.
