Scuba Diving World Record Attempts Delayed, But Back On Schedule

-

Attempts by Kuwaiti scuba divers Reem Abdullah Al Edan and Mubarak Abuhaimad to break female and male scuba diving Guinness World Records, scheduled to begin March 1, have been delayed by a day due to “equipment-related issues,” but are now underway again.

According to the folks at Stuart Cove Dive Bahamas, who are hosting the event:

“The team started the attempt last night at approximately 5pm and ran into some equipment related issues, causing the attempt to be delayed until today, March 2nd, 2016. Stuart commented on the second try ‘we built into their schedule some extra days for this type of delay. What they are trying to do is dangerous, unique and well outside the normal realm of scuba diving. Delays and equipment issues are to be expected when pushing the frontier of human endurance.'”
