SCUBA Show 2003 Expected to Break Records

Scuba Show 2003 Logo SCUBA Show 2003, now in its 16th year, is anticipating a record successful year. One month out from the show, 92 percent of exhibit space is filled with a sell-out anticipated long before the show opening. In addition, advanced registration is strong indicating a possible record crowd. Average annual attendance for the last 12 years has exceeded 10,000. SCUBA Show 2003 is expected to do the same.

"An exciting new feature for 2003 is the opportunity for participants to get in the water and try out the latest in Sea & Sea digial still and video cameras," stated show Producer Dale Sheckler. "Thanks to Sea & Sea, attendees can get a real feel what it is like to shoot digital underwater gaining hands-on experience to help them make educated decisions on their underwater imaging purchasing decisions." Another major activity for the demo tank is free intro scuba lessons.

The annual SCUBA Show is the largest dive expo in the Western US with over 57,000 square feet of exhibit space. In addition there will be a full seminar schedule and a continuous underwater film festival all day Saturday and Sunday. Saturday night is the social highlight of the show with a Casino Party and a silent auction that benefits the Catalina Conservancy Divers.

SCUBA Show 2003 will take place at the Long Beach Convention Center, Long Beach, CA overlooking the Queen Mary, Aquarium of the Pacific, dive charter boats, and the Pacific Ocean. Hours are Saturday, June 21, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, June 22, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
