If you live in the USA and have been jonesing for a new, hybrid scuba/freediving watch, Italian company SEAC might have something up your alley.
The company’s U.S. subsidiary, SEAC USA, recently announced that its JACK freediving computer, which was introduced at last year’s DEMA Show with a new scuba mode, is now shipping to the United States.
The JACK monitors all the standard scuba and freediving parameters like Nitrox, decompression information, freedive recovery time prompts, and also sports an algorithm that could help prevent potential freediving maladies like Tarvana & Hemoptysis, according to SEAC.
Additionally, the JACK sports a bunch of features for use out of the water, like a 3D compass, barometric pressure, altimeter, temperature, stopwatch, pedometer, caloric counter, lunar phases, alarms and more.
According to Dive Magazine in the U.K., the JACK retails for £339/US$438/402 Euros and has a 150-meter/492-foot depth rating.
