SeaLife is changing the underwater photo/video game with the introduction of their all-new light: the Sea Dragon 5000 plus Color Boost.
The newly patent-pending Color Boost feature of the light works by delivering a 90 CRI (color rendering index) with the COB LED array that replicates natural sunlight (100 CRI would be just like actual sunlight). This feature creates a warming effect that increases brilliance and adds crucial colors to underwater photos and videos.
The Sea Dragon has two main modes: easy and advanced. Within each mode you can toggle between multiple lumen settings ranging from 1500 up to 6000. Color boost is available on both easy and advanced modes. (A 6000 lumen setting is available, but will switch back to 5000 lumens after two minutes to conserve battery life as well as regulate temperature.) The Sea Dragon is equipped with a 50W Li-ion removable battery pack and will power the light for around 1 hour with Color Boost at full power.
The Sea Dragon comes with three universal mounts (ball, YS, and YS to flex connect), making it able to attach to any existing camera setup the diver may have. It also comes with an AC battery charger, international plug adapters, and a protective travel case. The dive light retails for US$599/~€606 and will be available for purchase at any authorized SeaLife dealer in December 2022.
