Shark Attack Victim stable

Craig Bovin a 34 year old father of three is said to be in a stable condition in a Cape Town Hospital following being attacked Tuesday by a 4 metre long (12ft) Ragged Tooth Shark whilst snorkelling off Scarborough Beach, South Africa.

Bovin underwent a four hour operation Tuesday night. During the attack he tried to fend off the shark and his right arm somehow got down into the sharks throat and he lost a lot of flesh from his right forearm.

Beaches in the area remain closed as spotter planes continue to monitor sharks in the vacinity . Last Saturday Great White Sharks were seen and water temperatures in the area hover around 15 degress which suits the Great White Shark.
