Hollywood, California-based Project 8 Films has bested three other companies in snagging the international sales rights to the award-winning documentary “Of Shark And Man.”
The documentary last month won two awards at the Nice Film Festival, and the film’s creator, David Diley, is bullish on the prospects of getting it to a wider audience:
“It’s a really exciting time in the film’s development from an idea nobody thought was possible to being at the stage where a general release is now a real possibility. The last few months have really seen a surge of interest in the film, culminating in the two awards we received at The Nice International Film Festival and now signing with a company that not only strongly believes in Of Shark and Man but one which truly gets the whole ethos about the film. I often wondered if I’d get one company interested in the film, in the end I had to choose one from four and I knew from first speaking to Jason that Project 8 would be the right match for the film.”
Project 8 Films is a production, sales and finance company based in Los Angeles, California, specializing in start-to-finish production, co-productions, finishing funds and contract negotiations through worldwide delivery. Company CEO Jason Loughridge says:
