Sport Diver EMEA To Close

The end of an era – a major UK-based pioneering diving magazine is closing its doors.

After 29 years of operation, the final ever issue of Sport Diver EMEA will be hitting the shelves on 8th February 2017.

As well as the usual mix of features, including Al Hornsby’s visit to Koh Tao, Thailand, Gavin Anderson’s exploration of the Breda, Will Harrison’s liveaboard in the Maldives, and Mark Evans’ extended coverage of the Sport Diver Bahama Bash reader trip, there is also a lighthearted look back at some of the team’s misadventures when testing equipment both in the UK and abroad, complete with behind-the-scenes photographs!

“It is the end of an era,” said Editor Mark Evans, who has been at the helm of the magazine for 18 years. “I have taken the title through four redesigns and seen it grow exponentially to be a strong voice in the industry. A sad end, but good to go out on top.”

We’ll be sad to see the magazine go here in EMEA and we wish the staff the best of luck.  The sister title in the US will continue to be published.
