Valentine’s day is fast approaching and if you are planning a dive trip with your loved one, whether it is Scuba Diving or Freediving, then we have found the top 10 romantic diving destinations which will leave you loved up, relaxed, happy and in good stead for the rest of the year. Diving is known for bringing people together, so planning a trip to one or more of these idyllic locations are the perfect romantic gift for your other half.

Honduras

Waking up with your loved one in one of the many dive resorts in Honduras can be an amazing experience, enjoyed by many. From the Huge whale sharks in Utila to the Caribbean reef sharks of Cara a Cara, there is something for every type of diver. If you are looking for the perfect ‘all-rounder’ then Honduras has it all. Wrecks, reefs, large and small animal encounters. If you are looking for the perfect spot for sun, sea, beautiful surroundings, unbelievable diving, and romance, then there is no need to look any further than the Bay Islands.

Maldives

The Maldives has been one of the top honeymoon locations of all time and there is no doubt that it is one of the most beautiful places in the world. With its perfect islets and atolls, the Maldives was always going to be on our top 10 list of romantic diving destinations. With its picturesque white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, this place is all about the romance. If you are looking for quiet and seclusion, where you can spend some quality time with your other half, then this is the place to be. Pampering is aplenty here, endless spas and classes are offered at luxury resorts scattered along the beachfront. Diving in the Maldives is just magnificent. These islands are well known for their Manta rays and sheer abundance of marine life. This is certainly a divers paradise, however, after your dives you can relax in the warm sand and watch the sun go down, showing nature in all its glory, with the pink reflections from the sun, reflecting off the crystal waters, this is the perfect place for love, romance, and diving.

Turks and Cacaos

With its luxurious resorts, surrounded by white sand and the bluest of waters, Turks and Cacaos are an Idyllic location for any couple. With more than 1,000 sq miles of corals reefs, which surrounds the islands, the diving is sublime. You will never be short of things to see in Turks and Cacaos. With its incredible wall diving and abundance of marine wildlife, your diving experience will be second to none. Visibility is good throughout the year, so you can go pretty much to go throughout the year. After a days diving, why not visit one of the many pamper parlors available, where you can relax and pick from a large number of treatments. If you are looking for some adventure on land as well as in the water, then why not island-hop and feed the stingrays or see the numerous iguanas that inhabit the islands. This is a great location for relaxations, adventure, loving and diving.

The British Virgin Islands

With its world-renowned dive sites, this is an excellent location for all you diving couples out there, who are looking for a bit of ‘me’ time as well as seeing some incredible sites. If you choose to visit The British Virgin Islands then you must dive the HMS Rhone, which is a world-class wreck dive. Holidaymakers can live it up like celebrities by renting Necker Island or even his boat, the Necker Belle. With over 40 Islands and Islets, there are plenty of adventures to be had. The protected waters surrounding the British Virgin Islands are teaming with marine life and offer some truly amazing diving experiences.

Bora Bora

This tiny French Polynesian island is absolutely stunning, and if you imagine what paradise looks like, then it will most likely look like Bora Bora. This divine island is the perfect place for a couple to relax in each other’s company and enjoy the simplistic island life that the locals love so much. Bora Bora is known for its unbelievable beach bungalows that offer some much-needed seclusion, to help you unwind from your usual hectic lifestyle. The surrounding waters of Bora Bora are every divers dream, rich in nutrients; they are home to some of the most magnificent sites and marine creatures on the planet. If you are hoping to see the humpback whales that pass through these waters, then the time to go is between July and November.

Aruba

Not only is Aruba a top honeymoon destination, but it is also home to some unbelievable dive sites. Known as the ‘Happiest Island’ in the world, there is no wonder why so many couples make this island their romantic getaway. With its warm climate and endless sandy beaches, this place has so much to offer. Why not enjoy some couples pampering sessions or snorkel around the numerous coral reefs situated just offshore? If you are looking for some adventure on land, then go and visit some of the amazing sites that this island has to offer, such as beautiful waterfalls and giant natural rock formations. If you prefer spending your time in the water, then make sure you visit the incredible Antilla wreck, which is the largest wreck in the south Caribbean. Aruba is an amazing island for romance, adventure, and diving.

Fiji

Fiji is not only known as one of the most romantic places in the world, but it is also known as the place where every year, but they also have an impressive 600 or more proposals, so it has certainly earned the right to be on our list. Step into the crystal clear waters and be face to face with some truly beautiful marine life. You will find triggerfish, Moorish idols, redfin anthias and so much more. Fiji is home to the 4th largest barrier reef which extends over 4000sq miles, were once in a lifetime experiences are to be had daily.

Rangiroa

Rangiroa is known for the Hotel Kia Ora Resort and Spa, which is located north of Tiputa Pass. It has its own onsite dive center, which means that everything is in one place. The dive sites found near this outstanding hotel are the areas where regular tidal changes occur and with these tidal changes come rich nutrients, and with rich nutrient waters, come manta rays, sharks and barracuda. This resort has beautiful beach bungalows, which are situated over the crystal waters; this means that you don’t even have to go into the water to see the wonders of the ocean. The sunset offers spectacular views and is, all in all, a beautiful romantic location for every couple out there.

Tobago

The majority of couples visiting Tobago are looking for some alone time, where they can sit on the warm sand, take in the beautiful surroundings and escape into a good book. Indonesia

There is never a dull moment in Indonesia. If you are looking for adventure, then this is the place to go. Indonesia is made up of over 17,000 islands which all offer something different. The best way to experience the waters of Indonesia is on a boat. Liveaboards are a great way to experience what the waters have to offer and this way, you will never be far off from your next dive. Once you have experienced the incredible dive sites such as Sulawesi and Lembeh Strait, then why not spend the rest of your time back on land, enjoying all that Bali has to offer. Bali is the most well-known island for rest, relaxation and recuperation. With its endless yoga retreats and pampering spas, there is something for every couple.
