Vivid-Pix Tackles the Challenge of Green Water

-

Driven by the request of a client from Onderwaterhuis in The Netherlands, Vivid-Pix has added a green water algorithm to their LAND & SEA SCUBA software. Photographers from around the world face the challenge of blue water and green water and this new technology is literally bringing back to life the vivid colors lost in these environments.

Vivid-Pix has also moved from water to a surface interval, with their new LAND & SEA and LAND & SEA SCUBA programs. By adding a land algorithm, they’ve increased their audience to land-based photographers as well as photographers who work both above and below the surface.

Underwater photography pioneer Cathy Church is working with the team to produce tutorials, making use of the software even easier. Her widely recognized knowledge of photography is helping users really understand the benefits of the Vivid Pix. They provide a wide range of video tutorials found under the LEARN/SUPPORT section of the website.

After the request of photographers, retailers and pros in the industry, Vivid-Pix has increased their ability to support other file formats including RAW for Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Sealife and the universal RAW DNG. File conversion is automatically done on the way into the editing screen, saving photographers valuable time. JPEGs are returned as JPEGs and RAW files are returned as TIFF files.

Vivid-Pix is also increasing their offerings with the introduction of the RESTORE (SRRS) program. In contrast from underwater color correction, this allows people to scan and restore older images from prints, slides, negatives and more.
