Volunteers needed for Coral Spawning Research

“Project: Coral Spawning Research at Flower Garden Banks Sanctuary
Organization: Oceanographic Expeditions
When: September 9, 10, 11

Earlier this month, several of CORAL’s Volunteers helped researchers
from the Aquarium of the Americas collect coral planulae during this year’s first mass spawning at the Flower Garden Banks Sanctuary off the coast of Texas. With warm waters and 120′ visibility, the coral spawned an August 10 and 11 and should spawn again September 9, 10, and 11. Oceanographic Expeditions still has space available on the September expedition to study this incredible natural phenomenon. For more information, please check out their website at http://www.seascience.com. Act soon if you are interested.”
