Cliff – Where have you been??? I thought you fell off the face of the planet…
Ok – I have been out of touch for awhile. Since I started this dream of mine some time ago, I had always hoped to see it become a true resource on the net for information of the sport of Freediving. Having made it a go by myself for the first 2 years, I was pretty burned out. I was trying to do everything – the stories, trying to get advertising, do the website, etc.
That was when an email from Stephan Whelan came, asking if I wanted to join forces with Deeper Blue to become a complete resource on the Internet for the diving community. I was excited but still burned out from the whole ordeal, and I had lost touch with my dream.
The site was stagnant, no emails, no new story ideas. My dream seemed to be fading away.
I am a website developer and photographer by profession, and I was (am) spending more time in front of my computer, was gaining more weight and losing my fitness level in the process and had all but quit diving.
I had given up hope.
Then Stephan contacted me and said that he had been working on some things to bring both sites back to life – new writers, advertising, the works.
I was renewed!
My resolve had returned, but the climb back to a fitness level for safe and comfortable diving was going to be difficult – but those things worth attaining are never easy. So the swimming has begun again. My mind is wanting more than my body is willing to do, and it is discouraging, but I still have a desire…
A desire to take this site to the best it can be. And to practice what I preach as well.
Stephan has asked me to become the Chief editor for this section and I am looking forward to what will happen with my original idea for this site.
