Check Out This Mobile Phone Case Made From Abandoned Fishing Nets

POPSICASE, a Barcelona-based eco-friendly mobile phone case company, has launched its latest line of cases: the “Love Under the Sea Collection.”

The company’s cases are made from 100% recycled plastic and aluminum. As a huge bonus for the ocean, the plastic is sourced from discarded fishing nets that have been removed from the sea.

The process is relatively simple, where abandoned fishing nets are first cleaned and ground up before being transformed into plastic pellets. The pellets are then injection-molded to create the plastic components of the POPSICASE. Scrap aluminum undergoes a similar process.

The “Love Under the Sea Collection” has five models that highlight the different marine environments on our planets. Models available include:

  • Atlantic.
  • Pacific.
  • Caribe.
  • Arctic.
  • Pacific.
