Dates Announced For The International Ocean Film Festival’s Student Film Competition


The date for 2020 International Ocean Film Festival’s Student Film Competition has been announced as March 15th, 2020.

The competition is aimed at middle and high school students (grades 6-12) from around the world.  The three top-placed films in each of the competition categories are eligible for a cash prize up to US$500/~€454/~£389. The top movies will also get their own viewing on the big screen on March 15th, 2020 at Cowell Theater in San Francisco, California.

To be eligible, films must meet the following criteria:

  • The film must be about the ocean.
  • The films must be short- less than 5 minutes in length.
  • The film must be entirely made by students either as a group or individually.

All films must be submitted by January 10th, 2020.
