The “Great Lakes Untamed” trailer is now available to view online.
The trailer delves into this natural wonder, with five lakes comprising the world’s largest group of freshwater lakes. These magnificent natural bodies contain a whopping 21 percent of the world’s surface fresh water by volume.
“Great Lakes Untamed” is the definitive piece of natural history about the lakes and covers their history and the role they play in human lives. Still heavily used for cargo transport, it’s estimated there are more than 6,000 shipwrecks in the lakes. Some of these wrecks date back to the 17th century.
For centuries and decades, it’s estimated that more than 30,000 mariners have lost their lives on the lakes, making them not only home to wonder but tragedy as well.
