OSIL Unveils Its New Aquaculture Monitoring Buoy

-

A new Aquaculture Monitoring Buoy has been unveiled by Ocean Scientific International Ltd (OSIL).

The new buoy is in response to the global increase in seaweed farming. The buoy is designed to provide data that is targeted to meet the demands of this industry.

Features of the buoy include:

  • The full range of meteorological data including waves and currents.
  • Water quality.
  • A Pan Tilt Zoom camera with up to 40X zoom
  • Multiple telemetry options including LoRaWAN, GPRS, 3/4/5G, and satellite.

The company can offer integrated networks of buoys to potential customers. However, the new buoy’s features mean that one buoy per site is sufficient to meet its clients’ needs in most cases.
