Stream2Sea’s new Every Day Mineral Sunscreens actually perform better when wet, according to company founder Autumn Blum.
Traditional sunscreens lose 30 – 60% of the effect of their protection after being immersed in water for 80 minutes, Blum says. This is not the case with Stream2Sea’s new Every Day Mineral Sunscreens.
According to Blum, the sunscreen formula is so water-resistant that its performance improves after immersion. The company has found that their sunscreen improves by 45% after getting it wet. This new ability is what Stream2Sea calls its WetBoost technology.
In Blum’s own words:
“This performance is so unique to mineral sunscreens that we filed for ‘patent-pending’ status. We call it WetBoost Technology.”
