Submissions to NOAA’s 2022 Share the Shore & Sea Art Contest Now Open

The US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is holding a “Share the Shore & Sea Art” contest for K-12 students from the Pacific islands.

The photos and art should feature whales, dolphins, sea turtles, Hawaiian monk seals or corals and must adhere to US laws regarding how close people are allowed to approach these animals.

Submission deadlines are as follows:

  • American Samoa: 10:59 p.m. on May 13, 2022
  • Hawai’i: 11:59 p.m. on May 13, 2022
  • Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands & Guam: 7:59 p.m. on May 14, 2022

Contest winners will be announced and showcased during the Share the Shore Week from May 23-30, 2022.
