Mermaid Megan has announced the release of two new children’s books, “Mermaid Megan’s Freshwater Friends” and “Ziggy the Lost Lionfish.”
In “Ziggy the Lost Lionfish,” she explores the concept of invasive species by following Ziggy’s adventure to find his rightful home.
“Mermaid Megan’s Freshwater Friends” highlights the significance of rivers and introduces children to the diverse creatures that thrive within these aquatic habitats. Both stories encourage kids to ask questions, develop empathy and understand their role in protecting water ecosystems.
Mermaid Megan’s journey as an author of conservation-themed children’s books began with her early childhood experiences. Her mother’s daily storytelling and frequent visits to their local library fostered Megan’s lifelong appreciation for literature and the natural world. Through her books, she aims to empower children to care for our planet’s waters.
In addition, a third book, “Mermaid Megan and the Mighty Mangroves,” will be released this July. As with all her other works, it will continue her tradition of blending education and adventure.
