Voice Cast Announced For ‘Beyond Blue’ Video Game

The developers of the upcoming “Beyond Blue” video game recently announced the game’s voice cast.

The cast includes Anna Akana (“Ant-Man“), Hakeem Kae-Kazim (“Hotel Rwanda,” “Pirates of the Caribbean III“), Ally Maki (“10 Things I Hate About You,” “Wrecked“), and Mira Furlan (“Babylon 5,” “Lost“).

Focusing on the Western Pacific Ocean amid a large multispecies gathering of cetaceans and other creatures, “Beyond Blue” players will control the main character, Mirai, and use technology to better understand the urgent threats facing the ocean and its creatures.

They’ll set up and use an “Ocean Sense Network” to explore and collect information on several species of fish, whales, sharks, rays, and porpoises.

Additionally, “Beyond Blue” features never-before-seen footage licensed from BBC Studios’ Blue Planet II, expanding on the game’s story and educating players about the social and emotional lives of a pod of whales, seen in short encounters.

Beyond Blue” is due out later this year, and will be playable via PC/Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Check out a new teaser for the game below.
