Diverse Travel has announced the addition of the British Overseas Territory of St Helena to its network of holiday destinations.
While the South Pacific island is much better known as Napoleon’s final exile destination, the island’s hidden secret is its biodiversity heaven above and below the waves.
Above the water, the island features mountains, rich flora and fauna, warm weather and even a cloud forest. Below the waves, the scenery is no less impressive; over 700 species of marine life have been documented around the island, including 50 that are endemic to the islands. Exploring the pristine water of the island, you can encounter turtles, devil rays, humpback whales and even dolphins.
According to Diverse Travel Product Manager Phillip Connor:
“St Helena is a really exciting destination for all lovers of the natural world. The island is positively brimming with opportunities for adventure above and below the water. St Helena is full of untapped potential as a dive and holiday destination and we are incredibly excited to share it with our guests.”
