GoPro this week released its newest digital camera, the HERO4 Session.
The new HERO4 Session is 50 percent smaller and 40 percent lighter than GoPro’s HERO4 Black and Silver cameras, according to the company.
The completely waterproof design means you don’t need a separate housing, and it features a one-button control. Additionally, the new camera is compatible with existing GoPro mounts.
The HERO4 Session can capture 1080p60, 720p100 and 1440p30 video as well as 8-megapixel photos. As a regular still camera, you can take pictures in single, burst and time-lapse modes.
Additionally, the new HERO4 Session sports a lot of the features found in the HERO4 Black and Silver cameras, among them “SuperView,” “Protune” and “Auto Low Light” recording modes. If you used the GoPro App or Smart Remote, you get even more controls and settings.
The HERO4 Session will be available online and at retailers beginning July 12, and retails for just under US$400. For more info, check out the company’s website.
