You can now register for the 2022 Great Lakes Public Forum.
The event, which is focused on protecting, restoring, and preserving the lakes, is scheduled to take place on September 27-29, 2022, in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.
This year is the 50th anniversary of the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement between the US and Canada, which established the forum, and the milestone will be marked during the event accordingly. The agenda for the three-day event includes:
- Presentations about the efforts to protect and restore the lakes.
- Country priorities over the next 3 years.
- Efforts to tackle algae and chemicals
- Climate change impact, and how to address it.
- Threats to the lakes by invasive species.
The agenda is still being added to and will be updated to reflect future topic additions.
