Some of the best diving in the Uk maybe affected by an oil spill in the Menai Straits. Investigations are still underway to find out who was responsible.
The Menai Straits separate Anglesey from the Mainland UK, and the five mile slick was spotted by sailors on Sunday.
The coastguard said the immediate source had been identified as a leaking pipe, which had now been sealed.
Officials are investigating whether the escape was caused by vandalism.
The oil – much of which has now been dispersed – entered the water south of Caernarfon and spread right up the coast as far as the Britannia Bridge.
