Learn About The Florida Keys And Help With ‘Voluntourism’ At This Year’s DEMA Show

If you’re attending this year’s DEMA Show in Orlando, you can catch up on all the efforts being undertaken to help protect and preserve the Florida Keys by visiting the Florida Keys booth.

Visitors will learn about the various activities that help protect the reef, including “voluntourism,” where visiting divers can help protect the reef while enjoying their vacation.

Attendees can learn about the Keys “Connect and Protect” initiative, which aims to motivate travelers, to keep coming back to the Keys with the goal of helping protect and preserve the reefs. In addition, the program promotes diverse roles as “citizen scientists” and encourages to engage in various projects aimed at restoring and protecting the reef.

Also, visitors will be able to pick up a 2020 Florida Keys pictorial calendar, created by acclaimed underwater photographer Stephen Frink. For those wanting something a little bit special, they can visit the stand at 14:00 on November 14th and 15th when Fink will be on hand to autograph your calendar.

You can find out more about the Florida Keys here, and stay tuned to DeeperBlue.com for comprehensive coverage of DEMA Show 2019 next month.
