A new French-language film chronicling the life of famed undersea explorer Jacques Cousteau will be in cinemas in October 2016.
“L’ODYSSEE” will start production soon, according to Cousteau‘s granddaughter Alexandra, an explorer and ocean advocate in her own right.
“Wonderful actors and a fantastic screenplay by Jérôme Salle. So exciting!!!” she wrote on her Facebook page.
Lambert Wilson (“MATRIX: RELOADED” and “MATRIX: REVOLUTION”) will portray the role of Cousteau, and Audrey Tautou (“DA VINCI CODE”) will play his wife, Simone. Pierre Niney will play the Cousteaus’ ill-fated son, Philippe.
