Nominations for the 2019 DEMA Wave Makers Award are now open.
The award is aimed at dive professionals who have spent five years or less in the industry but have made a significant contribution.
The process of selecting the Wave Makers Award winners is as follows:
- Once the nominations are made the award committee will decide on the top contenders.
- Contenders are notified and are asked to create a one-minute video about how they see their future in the diving industry.
- The videos are shared on social media, and DEMA members can vote on DEMA.org.
- The contenders and a guest are invited to the DEMA Awards party at the DEMA Show, where their videos will be shown before the announcement of the winners.
Nominations must be received by August 5, 2019, and the winner will be announced at the DEMA party on November 15, 2019, at the Hard Rock Live Coliseum in Orlando, FL.
