Reef Environmental Education Foundation (REEF) highlighted its expanded Ocean Exploration Center in Key Largo, Florida at DEMA Show 2025, showcasing a home base designed to pull divers and the local community deeper into ocean conservation.

The center, located on the REEF Campus in the Florida Keys, features classrooms, education materials and a small museum-style area with hands-on STEM exhibits that invite visitors to explore marine life and reef ecology up close.

Alongside the new center, REEF is promoting its field survey trips, a series of roughly 15 hosted dive expeditions each year built around the organization’s long-running Volunteer Fish Survey Project.

Led by REEF staff and volunteers, the trips take divers around the world to log fish sightings on every dive, then gather afterward with cameras and ID books to identify and record species.

The result is a dive holiday with an added layer of citizen science, where every day in the water contributes data to reef conservation.
