The Reef-World Foundation has once again been selected to participate in the Big Give’s Christmas Challenge Campaign this year.
Participating means that every donation made to Reef-World’s campaign via BigGive.org during the week of December 2nd – 9th will be doubled.
Last month, the foundation released a 2024-2025 “Impact Report” that warned:
“The crisis facing coral reefs is severe and immediate. Their loss would be catastrophic for the entire planet, jeopardising food security, coastal protection and the livelihoods of hundreds of millions of people worldwide. Their disappearance would pose an existential risk to humankind.”
Reef-World has a significant funding target to reach this year, according to an announcement issued this week:
“To achieve it, we need our community of champions (YOU!) to help us spread of the campaign. By sharing the message with your network, you amplify our voice and ensure we hit our target, securing vital funds for our work — including Green Fins.”
The organization has put together a toolkit for participants to use when promoting the campaign to others.
