Seacam added two premium additions to its underwater imaging lineup at DEMA Show 2025: the new SeaFlash 320 OffShore strobe and the Optical Precision Port, a compact water-contact optic designed to preserve topside lens performance underwater.
The SeaFlash 320 OffShore is a high-output strobe rated at 320 watt-seconds and built for demanding dives. Based on the existing SeaFlash 160 electronics, the new unit delivers roughly double the power while adding a reinforced aluminum back plate and aluminum battery cap to reach a depth rating of 200 meters (about 600 feet). It runs on two batteries for full output but can operate on one battery at reduced power.
As with Seacam’s other high-end strobes, the 320 OffShore supports high-speed sync and stroboscopic modes, plus TTL for major camera brands including Sony, Nikon and Canon, along with full manual control. Both cabled and fiber-optic connections are standard. The prototype shown at DEMA is expected to be followed by the first production batch at the end of January. The target retail price is around US$3,000/~€2,800, with final pricing still to be confirmed.
Seacam is also debuting its Optical Precision Port, a multi-element water-contact optic aimed at delivering the same image quality underwater that a photographer expects from a lens on land. Rather than trying to fix a poor lens, the system is designed to let high-quality lenses perform to their full potential below the surface while maintaining sharpness and field of view.
The Optical Precision Port is built around a front port that houses the main optical element, a dedicated correction lens that screws onto the camera lens like a filter, and a matching extension ring to set the correct spacing. Designed initially for lenses with fields of view up to 120 degrees, the system ships as a complete package tailored to the user’s lens choice. The full setup weighs about 2.9 kilograms (around 6.4 pounds) and is expected to retail for about $4,900/~€4,560.
