The giant-screen underwater documentary “Secrets of the Sea” is due out on IMAX theaters later this summer, MacGillivray Freeman Films recently announced.

Filmmakers Howard and Michelle Hall partnered with “Blue World” filmmaker Jonathan Bird to make the movie. Joelle Carter, who starred on FX’s “Justified,” will be the narrator.

According to the Halls:

“Secrets of the Sea introduces audiences to a new cast of strange and wondrous sea creatures and marine life that reveal just how truly magnificent and extraordinary the ocean world really is.”

While Bird added:

“Viewers of all ages will love seeing all the animals, from tiny krill to giant blue whales, and will marvel at how so much of the ocean’s sea life works together symbiotically with one another.”
