The 2016 Roatan Underwater Photo Festival resulted in quite a number of great pics, but when it was all over, a shot of a sea turtle by Mike Stallings took the “Best In Show” prize.
Sea turtles weren’t the only ocean denizens the contestants had a chance to shoot. The El Aguila Wreck site, sharks and the infamous invasive Lionfish were also the subjects of various photos, and some folks even speared Lionfish for dinner.
Additionally, professional underwater photographer Brenda Stumpf made a guest appearance and photographed models swimming in mermaid tails.
