US Advisory Board To Hold Meeting On Ocean Exploration

An advisory board of experts will meet online November 29th, 2022 to discuss the US government’s ocean exploration program.

The Ocean Exploration Advisory Board “advises NOAA leadership on strategic planning, exploration priorities, competitive ocean exploration grant programs, and other matters as the NOAA Administrator requests,” according to a meeting announcement posted on the US government’s Federal Register.

During the virtual meeting, the board “will receive an overview of Ocean Exploration operations and information about NOAA’s Ocean Exploration Cooperative Institute; receive an update on the status of a dedicated ocean exploration vessel; and learn about collateral duties.”

Members of the public are invited to submit comments for the board’s consideration.
