The date for the 2024 International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame (ISDHF) induction ceremony has been announced by the hall’s board of directors and the Cayman Islands Ministry and Department of Tourism.
This year, the event will take place at the Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman on Saturday, September 28, 2024. According to Minister for Tourism and Ports Kenneth Bryan, two local inductees and four international inductees will be added.
“We look forward to adding scuba diving pioneers to our over 140 ISDHF inductees from around the globe. Part of this celebration also includes honoring local diving professionals that have made significant contributions to the Cayman Islands’ diving and watersports industry. The ceremony is an important event and I look forward to welcoming international and local attendees to join us in Grand Cayman this fall.”
While ISDHF Executive Director William Cline added:
“The ISDHF board has chosen such worthy inductees this year. Four different countries will be represented including John Thet from Singapore, Enric Salas from Spain, Claudio Guardabassi from Brazil and Margo Peyton from the USA. We’ve got an exciting Induction Week planned to honor our excellent inductees, including Dan Orr, a 2014 ISDHF Inductee and renowned figure in the industry, as the keynote speaker for the event. I hope many will attend the events planned in September.”
