Florida International University is conducting an auction where the highest bidder will get the chance to dive the Aquarius Reef Base off the coast of Key Largo, Florida.
The general public isn’t normally allowed to dive this area, which makes such an auction pretty exclusive.
The prize includes a pair of dives for up to four people plus a one-night stay at Baker’s Cay Resort in Key Largo, a free dinner at the resort, all your dive equipment not including mask, fins and wetsuit, along with a lunch inside the Aquarius Reef Base.
To be eligible, you’ll need to be at least 18 years old, a certified diver, have medical insurance and a doctor’s clearance to dive.
The auction will be held on March 15th during the 10th annual Bash for the Bay hosted by the Rookery Bay Research Reserve in Naples, Florida. However, you can begin e-bidding on the auction beginning today, March 6th. Bidding will begin at US$2,000 (~1,771 Euros).
The money raised from the auction will be shared by Aquarius Reef Base and the nonprofit Friends of Rookery Bay.
