The Emirates Diving Association (EDA) prepares for its 12th Clean Up Arabia effort, starting in Dubai this weekend, with the largest amount of participants in history.
Nearly a thousand volunteers from across the Emirates and as far as Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain have joined the annual clean up.
The EDA is the representative of the American Organization "Ocean Conservancy" (formerly Centre of Marine Conservation/CMC) in the UAE. It is also one of the UAE Coordinators for the Australian International NGO "Clean Up the World" – an international annual clean up campaign, with more than one hundred countries participating, to clean up the world.
The EDA organises a cleanup every year of beaches and underwater environments in different areas of the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait.
