Cylinder Training Services To Unveil New Scuba Tank Inspection Course

-

Are you a scuba tank geek? Gaga over A-clamps and cylinder valves? Do you work at a dive shop or resort and love taking care of the tanks?

Well, Cylinder Training Services will be rolling out a new course next month on the best way to inspect and maintain a scuba tank cylinder.

The new Advanced Thread Inspection course is a follow-on to the Visual Inspection Procedure class that was introduced last year.

“Federal law 180.209(m) mandates some cylinders be eddy current tested so we have developed a program, along with advanced thread inspection, to meet this requirement. This class focuses only on threads of a cylinder; learning the cause of cracks, how they can be prevented and how to recognize them.

“The class is a two hour session where students become familiar with Visual Plus 3, the best inspection technology money can buy, and endorsed by major cylinder manufacturers including Luxfer and Catalina. Upon successful completion of the course students receive certification from CTS, AIT and ITI.”

The company will introduce the new course at DEMA Show 2015 in Orlando. For more information, check out the Cylinder Training Services website.
