The Divers Alert Network has announced the introduction of a new “Enhanced Membership” for dive and travel enthusiasts.
Enhanced Membership includes higher coverage limits and a curated selection of additional benefits, including up to US$500,000 (~€447,950) in emergency medical transportation and travel assistance benefits, a continuing subscription to the print edition of Alert Diver magazine, new global security evacuation coverage, new search and rescue coverage, and more.
DAN President and CEO Bill Ziefle said:
“The needs of today’s adventure-seekers have led DAN to offer this higher level of coverage. As divers and travelers venture to remote parts of the world in search of pristine reefs, the costs of evacuation have risen sharply. Rather than increasing rates and benefits across the board — raising the cost of membership for all members — DAN has chosen to offer this new level of membership for those who wish to opt in.”
The cost of Enhanced Membership is US$75 (~€67) per year for individuals and US$100 (~€90) for families. It’s available in all US states except New York and is coming soon to Canada.
