DAN Sets Up Fund for Families of Conception Victims

The Divers Alert Network has set up a web page to accept donations for families who lost loved ones in the Conception tragedy.

Thirty-four divers perished when the vessel caught fire in California’s Channel Islands last week.

DAN itself has donated US$10,000 (~9,062 Euros) and set up the web page for others who wish to donate.

One hundred percent of the donations will go to the victims’ families. The funds collected will be distributed equally among the families of the victims. Families who lost more than one member will receive a share for each. Donations are tax-deductible.

PADI, SSI, TDI/SDI, Scubapro, DUI, the Women Divers Hall of Fame, PSI-PCI and California Diving News have all joined in the effort to support the families affected by this tragedy.

To donate, visit DAN.org/TheConception.
