The folks at East Coast Divers have announced they’re holding a two-week-long Freediving Camp in Bonaire this coming November.
The event will take place November 7-21, 2026.
East Coast Divers’ Nick Fazah, Blue Alchemy Freediving’s Nate Leazer and Immersion Freediving’s Ted Harty will be there, running training across both weeks.
In a Facebook post, Fazah wrote:

“Nate is an absolute animal in the pool with statics north of 8 minutes and a seriously thoughtful approach to training and recovery. Ted is a former US DYN record holder, equalization wizard, founder of FreedivingSafety.com, and one of the most experienced calm brains you could ask for on a line. And me, I’ve been diving Bonaire for over 20 years and know exactly how to use the island to help people progress safely and confidently.”

The event will include line diving, pool sessions, video review, workshops and plenty of coaching tailored to where participants are at.
Attendees will be able to work toward an Intermediate Freediver certification, or just show up and focus on getting smoother, calmer and more efficient in the water, according to Fazah:

“This isn’t a conveyor belt course. It’s a chance to slow things down, train properly, and spend time diving with people who actually give a shit.”

Regardless if participants only do the first week, the second week or both, they’ll leave with the following:

  • More efficient technique
  • Better understanding of your diving
  • Practical tools you can continue using after the trip
  • And a deeper relationship with the water and your own process in it

Bonaire is widely regarded as one of the best training destinations in the world for freedivers, and for good reason: The island offers a rare combination of easy logistics, consistent conditions and immediate access to depth, all without the complications that often come with more remote training locations.
Pricing for the event will be US$1,000/~€842 for either one of the single weeks or $2,000/~€1,684 for both combined. Lodging, transportation to and from Bonaire, rental cars or fuel, as well as meals, groceries or personal expenses and optional island activities outside of scheduled training aren’t included in the prices.
