The Grand Bahama Dive Week is making a return in 2022 after its success in 2021.
This year, the event will take place from May 22-28, 2022, with participants treated to a five-day itinerary specifically designed to showcase the diversity to be found in Bahamian waters.
The dives will feature corals, walls, and beautiful reefs. No dive in the Bahamas would be complete without a dive at the legendary Tiger Beach, where exciting shark encounters are commonplace. The activities don’t end with the diving, and every day, land-based activities are planned for after diving, including cookouts, kayaking and more.
According to Steven Johnson, the General Manager at the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism:
“Our first Dive Week was a resoundingly success, and we could not have been more pleased with the wonderful outcome and feedback we received from the divers who participated. The high interest shown from last year’s capacity-filled event has resulted in our decision to host the 2nd Annual Grand Bahamas Dive Week.”
While Ian Rolle, the Chairman of the Grand Bahama Island Promotion Board, added:
“We are excited to once again partner with the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism to host our Second Annual Dive Week on Grand Bahama Island. With the warm hospitality of the Viva Wyndham Fortuna All-Inclusive Resort and Reef Oasis Dive Center as our hosts, Grand Bahama has it all and we can’t wait to welcome our 2022 participants.”
