The Guy Harvey Foundation (GHF) and Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) Florida have announced a new partnership.
The new collaboration aims to improve awareness of coastal ecosystems and support investment in the next generation of Floridian conservation leaders.
The new partnership will see the GHF develop new co-branded educational materials to support the CCA’s many ecosystem restoration initiatives. The materials will highlight the crucial roles oysters, clams, salt marshes and mangroves play in protecting Florida’s coastal waters.
In addition, the new collaboration will see CCA serve as sponsor of the foundation’s Conservation Education Training (CET) sessions for teachers.
Commenting on the new partnership, Guy Harvey Foundation CEO Jessica Harvey stated:
“This partnership with CCA represents a powerful alignment of shared values, education, conservation and long-term stewardship of our coastal ecosystems. By combining our educational expertise with CCA’s restoration-focused mission, we are creating meaningful pathways for teachers, students and young leaders to understand, protect and advocate for Florida’s vital marine habitats.”
While CCA Florida Executive Director Brian Gorski added:
“Partnering with the Guy Harvey Foundation allows us to amplify the impact of conservation beyond the water and into the classroom.By connecting hands-on ecosystem restoration with meaningful education and teacher training, we are investing in the next generation of conservation leaders.”
