Heinerth, Nachoum Among Keynote Speakers At Next Year’s DC Dive Show

-

Famed cave diver Jill Heinerth and award-winning wildlife stills photographer and environmental activist Amos Nachoum will be among the featured speakers at next year’s DC Dive Show.

Heinerth’s autobiography “Into The Planet: My Life As A Cave Diver” was published this past August, and the documentary film “Picture Of His Life” about Nachoum premiered in U.S. theaters earlier this year.

A 2017 NOGI Award recipient, Heinerth is the first person — man or woman — to dive into an Antarctic iceberg. She also led a team into a Mexican cenote that found the remains of a Mayan civilization.

Nachoum has dedicated his life to photographing the world’s largest and most fearsome predators in order to give them a voice and show them to people in a light that replaces fear with respect. His ultimate goal is to build an appreciation for the animals’ power and beauty so people are more motivated to protect them.

The DC Dive Show, scheduled for February 22nd and 23rd, 2020 at the Washington DC Convention Center, will also feature workshops on rebreathers, diving medicine and the environment.

If you plan on a visit next February to the Washington, DC area, tickets to the show (US$25 for two-day admission) are now on sale at www.dcdiveshow.com.
