SEA&SEA & SeaLife Launch New Products For UnderWater Shutterbugs

SEA&SEA and SeaLife recently announced the availability of some new underwater photography accessories for avid shutterbugs.

SEA&SEA has released its newest addition to the company’s mirrorless class family: the MDX-EM5 Mark ll Underwater Housing for Olympus‘s OM-D E-M5 Mark ll Mirrorless Digital Camera.

The MDX-EM5 MK II housing can accommodate Olympus’s FL-LM3 flash, which you’ll need to trigger external strobes. The new housing will also allow the photographer to access the flash’s ON/OFF switch.

Additionally, the housing allows the levers and buttons to glow in low-light conditions, and is also compatible with a variety of underwater camera grips. Get your wallet ready, though, because it retails for US$1849.95.

SeaLife for its part has unveiled its new SL999 Flex-Connect Ball Joint Adapter, which is compatible with other manufacturers’ lights using a 1-inch/25mm ball mounting system.

The new ball-joint adapter will instantly connect the light or flash to Flex-Connect accessories. The adapter features a heavy-duty aluminum construction giving it lots of durability and stability and making it more universal with a whole bunch of flex arms, grips and trays, according to the company.

“At SeaLife, we’re constantly thinking of innovative ways to enhance the experience of using an underwater camera,” according to SeaLife Sales Manager Karl Schuster. “Since lighting is an essential part for photography, the universal ball- joint adapter allows divers to choose any brand of light to capture the perfect picture or video.”

The Flex- Connect Ball Joint Adapter retails for US$39.95
