The recreational diving component of Europe’s largest free beach festival, Paddle-Round-the-Pier, will be hosted by Oyster Diving at Brighton and Hove Beach in the U.K.
This year’s event will take place July 6-7, 2019, and aims to raise thousands of pounds for charities.
The event regularly sees up to 50,000 people turn up to participate and take part in the many activities including scuba diving, surfing, kayaking and more. The event also features live music and a kids’ stage.
Oyster Diving will be conducting try dives at the 20m/66ft outdoor pool for anyone aged 10 and over. Also, on Sunday, July 7, at 12:30 p.m. Oyster Diving will be hosting a dive around the pier event from their boat. The dive is open to any Open Water Diver who has dived in the last 12 months.
Alongside the main festival, the Olympic-style 2019 Underwater Summer Games will be held.

- 20m tired diver tow.
- 20m underwater sprint – no fins.
- 40m surface sprint – with fins.
- 20m underwater sprint – no fins.
- Fastest buddy pair to swap kit underwater.
- Underwater discus.
- Underwater javelin.
Spaces are limited for the games so if you are interested you will have to register early. All game participants are required to bring is their certification card, towel, and swimwear.
