Registration for Palapas Ventana’s annual Blue Water World Cup spearfishing tournament this coming June is now open.
Founded in 1999 and hosted at Palapas Ventana in La Ventana, Baja California Sur since 2006, the Blue Water World Cup has grown into a premier international spearfishing competition. Divers from around the world gather for elite diving, a cash purse, sponsor prizes and a relaxed atmosphere focused on raising money for local parks.
The schedule is as follows:
- June 25: Arrival, casita check-ins, welcome dinner
- June 26: First competitive dive day
- June 27: Second competitive dive day
- June 28: Third competitive dive day, awards, farewell dinner
- June 29: Breakfast & departure shuttles
Registration costs US$1,800/~€1,560 per diver, and covers the following:
- 4 nights accommodation in ensuite A/C casitas
- All meals from daily set menu
- Tournament entry fee
- Fishing license
- 3 days of diving with knowledgeable captains
- Boats, weights, and FUN!
- Not included: alcohol and tips. Shuttle service available.
