Shearwater Research has unveiled its Swift GPS Air Integration Transmitter at the 2025 DEMA Show in Orlando, Florida.
The new transmitter combines all the functionality of the excellent Shearwater Swift transmitter with new GPS functionality when on the surface.
The new Swift GPS is compatible with every Shearwater AI computer. On the surface, it uses its GPS capability to record your exact location. Once the underwater GPS is turned off, the unit records your tank pressure and communicates it to your dive computer via radio frequency.
The new system dovetails with the new Dive Shearwater App, which has much better functionality and pairs seamlessly with the Shearwater Cloud. The app features a large map view that shows all your GPS Dive coordinates.
In addition, Shearwater showcased its answer to the Avelo system, the Shearwater Jet Pack. The new dive system is rugged and durable, as with any Shearwater product, and can also deliver additional buoyancy at the surface so divers can stay positive at the beginning and end of every dive.
The new Shearwater Swift GPS will be available worldwide from December 1, 2025 and retails for US$445/~€384/~£338. In comparison, the regular Swift retails for $445/~€345/~£303.
