Shearwater Research announced that it has teamed up with Sonardyne International to enable the Shearwater Petrel 2 and DiveCAN to connect to DiveTrack.
DiveTrack will take training and dive operations to a new level and features all of the following:
- Rugged and portable for use from the dock or skiff.
- Can now communicate with the Date Generated by the Shearwater device, including tank pressure.
- The ability to track up to 8 divers simultaneously.
- DiveTrack can track divers up to the enormous range of 1,500 meters/4,921ft.
- Can send acoustic recalls, as well as diver re-tasking commands.
- Long-life battery with up to 10 hours of operation.
- A universal connector to accommodate various computer configurations.
